My family and I evacuated New Orleans because of Hurricane Katrina and since we have relatives in this area, we came to Cypress. They introduced us to Bob Borders, who has helped us find temporary housing. He and his lovely wife, Diana, went the "extra mile" in assisting us in so many ways. They had us to their beautiful home for a "New Orleans cookout", and had some of his friends help us as well. Their kindness and generosity is boundless, and so greatly appreciated. He introduced us to some of his friends in the neighborhood and they also were so very geneorous and kind. (They also had nothing but nice things to say about Bob).

We are looking forward to returning to our homes again as soon as the city is up and running, but this community certainly makes it tempting to stay.

We cannot express our gratitude to Bob, he is such a wonderful human being. We will never forget the people in Cypress and especially Bob Borders, he will always be in our prayers.

We never thought we would be in the situation we're in, but, hopefully, New Orleans will rebuild. Katrina was the worst disaster in the history of the United States. Texans showed just how compassionate and wonderful people can be.

Just wanted to let you know we truly appreciate all the effort you put into selling our home. It is slowing turning back into a house as the boxes begin to fill up. This place holds lots of great memories and I feel good about leaving it to someone I believe will care for it as we did. Thanks again for making it all happen so quickly!
